Adventures in the Nxai Pans in Botswana

Feeling the charm of the salt pans and the legendary Baines Baobabs in Botswana. The vastness of the salt pans was an other-wordly experience. And a brown hyena was spotted, too!

OK, we finally got into the Nxai Pans chapter of recapping our travels in early 2023. We drove straight through the Makgadigadi and to the legendary Baines Baobabs.

The roads and the pans were fine, so we didn’t need to use the wet season road to Baines Baobab as the rains had already ended. Dive on! Nxai Pans were a magical place!
