Who Are We?
We are Piritta and Niina, two Finnish women traveling overland in Africa in a 2009 Land Rover Defender 110 2.4 TDCi Puma called the “Honey Badger.”
We have been zigzagging the “Mother Continent” for over five years and counting – as we are not planning to stop!
We planned our “escape to freedom” for many years before we actually did it. But beginning something is the easy part. Sticking with it is the hard one.
As reality kicks in, not everyone will continue, despite the hardships, breakdowns, uncertainty, etc… You name it. Full-time overlanding lifestyle is not easy, but it’s gratifying and enriching.
But we have pushed through every obstacle that has come our way during the years, and we continue doing it for as long as it takes and as long as we love this lifestyle. Why?
Because living a life that looks 110% like you is more than worth it!
And because living outside of your comfort zone teaches you so much more about yourself, life, and everything.
And because, most of all, life is for living. Now. You never know what tomorrow brings, so don’t wait too long to make your dreams come true and enjoy life how you want.
